Draft Analysis:

  • 6'4" Height
  • 255LBS. Weight

Good initial use of hands. Doesn't waste time hand-fighting tackles and can discard their punch. Able to play on his feet against cut-blocks. Heavy hitter who drives through running backs and plays with strength behind his pads.

Stiff, upright pass rusher. Gains very little ground on tackles with his first three steps upfield. Is unable to change directions with any fluidity and has to take a very rounded path to the quarterback when attempting to race over the top in pass rush. Doesn't have the necessary athleticism to play in space as a 3-4 outside linebacker.

Draft Projection

Bottom Line

Bulky, stiff defensive end who plays with strength and effort, but doesn't show the athleticism to be a functional NFL defender.
