Analysis

Strengths

Charges hard after throws in front of him. Tackles through receiver, looking to dislodge the ball. Isn't easily beaten by double moves or sophisticated routes. Adequate mirror and match in man coverage. Showed marked improvement from 2013 to 2014.

Weaknesses

Skinny, with issues holding up in run support. Sloppy technique in disguised press coverage. Lunges, falling off balance and getting behind in the route. Opens up prematurely out of his backpedal. Gets stuck in neutral when forced to transition forward out of backpedal.

Draft Projection

Round 7 or priority free agent

Bottom Line

Angular cornerback with easy moving hips and feet to mirror and match off the line of scrimmage. He's not big enough to press and could get mismatched by size or rushing attacks if moved to the slot. Has the traits to make an NFL roster as a backup.
