Draft Analysis:

  • 6'5" Height
  • 34 1/2" Arm Length
  • 287LBS. Weight
  • 9 1/2" Hands

Excellent size -- has a big, well-proportioned frame with long arms and room for added bulk. Rare upper-body strength -- pumped 225 pounds 39 times at his pro day. Flashes the ability to jolt blockers. Moves well for his size -- opens up his stride in space and athleticism shows in pursuit. Has a 31-inch vertical. Durable three-year starter. Hardworking and respected.

Exposes his frame and is too easily engaged. Can play with more consistent leverage. Technique needs to be coached up -- needs to learn to shoot his hands, stack and shed. Two-gap ability is a work in progress. Marginal lateral agility displayed in three-cone drill time (7.77 seconds). Did not consistently dominate marginal competition. Inconsistent intensity.

Draft Projection

Rounds 6-7

Bottom Line

Big, long-levered, Division II prospect with intriguing dimensions, strength and upside to warrant consideration as a developmental five-technique or perhaps three-technique. Is fairly raw and still growing into his body, but should only get stronger and more effective as he fills out his frame and makes technical strides.
