Overview
Williams has good size, but he lacks the suddenness to consistently get open in man coverage at the next level. He is a speed builder that is slow off the ball and he runs boring predictable routes. He shows the ability to get open on underneath routes in zone, but he does not wade effectively through traffic and hears footsteps occasionally. He is not the smoothest athlete and he struggles to make catches away from his body. Williams has a chance to get drafted late if a team feels confident that they can improve his route running.
Strengths
Williams is tall enough with long arms. Long strider with deceptive speed that can stretch the field. Heady player that finds soft spots in zone coverage and has solid hands. Good leaper who excels in jump ball situations. Has a good attitude and is very coachable.
Weaknesses
Slow off the ball and runs too high preventing him from maintaining speed in transition. Can be stymied by a strong press and struggles to wade through traffic. Lacks the body control to consistently make grabs outside of his frame. Will not make people miss after the catch. Not an overly enthusiastic blocker.
