Overview
Dell won't excite front offices with size, deep speed or big plays, but he's is a hard-worker who will fight to get open, make the routine plays and could stick as a reserve receiver. Shows the ability to locate soft spots in zone coverage and some space over the middle. Is a natural pass-catcher who can pluck and snatch the ball away from his body and bring in the reception while absorbing contact in traffic. Could struggle at the next level if/when corners don't respect his ability to get behind coverage. Dell will likely be a Day 3 selection.
Strengths
Dell has enough size for an outside receiver. He can work his way open against zone coverage. Is a solid, consistent route-runner. Has good, reliable hands - catches away from his frame. Will make catches in a crowd over the middle. Can break tackles after the catch. Great practice player.
Weaknesses
Lacks the short-area burst to consistently gain separation on short-to-intermediate routes. Doesn't possess the deep speed to eat up cushions or threaten a defense vertically. Won't make many defenders miss in space. Doesn't make the highlight-reel reception. Would benefit from showing more desire when run blocking.
