Pick Analysis: Webb has incredible athleticism, and will likely move from quarterback to receiver in the pos. He put up sensational numbers at Alabama-Birmingham, and fits well into the Vikings' west coast system. It may take him a while to learn the receiver position, but he has the physical ability to eventually make an impact.

Overview

Webb is a size/speed prospect with the impressive arm strength to be viewed as a developmental project. Overall physical tools allow him to contribute in a variety of ways. Needs a lot of refinement reading defenses and with his passing fundamentals. Potential late-round pick or undrafted free agent prospect.

Strengths

Webb has ideal height and bulk for the next level. Has very good speed for the quarterback position and can make plays outside the pocket. Is a durable, versatile performer who could contribute at other spots. Possesses excellent arm strength. Can drive the ball downfield and make all the throws. Shows good accuracy at times on the deep ball.

Weaknesses

Decision-making must improve. Forces the ball into dangerous spots. Does not scan the field or move through his progressions. Likely to struggle consistently making reads against NFL schemes. Must improve footwork and drop mechanics. Does not exhibit enough accuracy and can become wild. Does not have a quick release and throwing mechanics need polish.
