Beauchamp was a productive, four-year starter for the UNLV defense. He has a good combination of size, strength and athleticism for the linebacker position. He doesn't have great range and speed but has quick feet and short area quickness. He has pop and power as a tackler, as well as in block protection. He lacks great instincts to react quickly and too often is out of position to make the play. He flashes ability to rush the passer, both as a stand-up player and with is hand on the ground, but he lacks great quickness and speed as a coverage defender. Beauchamp is a bit of a 'tweener. He could fit as an OLB in a 3-4 or undersized DE in a 4-3 defensive scheme.

Beauchamp possesses ideal size. He is a strong kid who takes on blocks and uses his hands to land an explosive punch and shed quickly. Takes proper pursuit angles and can deliver big shots. Has experience with his hand on the ground and flashes the ability to be an edge rusher.

Lacks an explosive first step and the top-end speed to make plays all over the field. A bit stiff in the hips and loses speed in transition. Reacts a bit slowly and struggles to find the ball. Does not show enough football intelligence and continually gets fooled by misdirection and play-action. Lacks the athleticism to consistently make tackles in space.
