Overview

Williams is a good sized receiver with excellent ball skills but is very raw and will need a lot of work when it comes to running routes and setting defenders up. He has natural hands as well as the ability to react and adjust to slightly off-target throws and should find his early success as an inside red zone receiver that can use his size and ball skills to catch the ball over the middle and in traffic. He will high point catches and shows excellent concentration and competitiveness when in a crowd. He tends to telegraph his cuts and can be a bit choppy in and out of his breaks.

Analysis

Strengths

Very tall with a wide frame and good bulk. Has large soft hands and catches the ball away from his chest. Fluid in the air and uses his body to shield defenders and grab passes in traffic. High points the ball well and is a mismatch in the red zone.

Weaknesses

Route running skills are very raw and he struggles to separate from defenders. Does not disguise his routes and leads defenders to the ball. Lacks premier top-end speed and does not stretch the field. Stays high and lacks the lateral agility to consistently make plays after the catch.
