Overview

Loiseau is an interesting prospect from small-school Merrimack in the little-known Division II Northeast Ten conference. He was ignored by bigger schools after an off-field incident in high school, but displayed NFL ability throughout his time at Merrimack. He is a productive tackler and a natural at the position who can read lines and make quick plays on the ball. He has sixth-round talent based on his ability to develop at the next level.

Analysis

Strengths

Loiseau is a very good tackler who plays instinctively from his Mike backer position. He is quick to diagnose plays from reading the offensive line and ignites an explosive drive step to carry toward the ball. He has the size to play inside in a 4-3 scheme and could also play within a 3-4 as he has the arm strength to shed off the blocks of bigger linemen. Loiseau is an explosive and physical presence from the inside and a player who has shown the ability to play right away despite coming from the Division II ranks.

Weaknesses

It could hurt Loiseau that he came from a Division II school, and some teams could be turned off by what led him to the school in the first place. Loiseau can be exposed as an average athlete in space at times, and can fall off tackles when working from the outside-in. He will need a slight development period at the next level to adjust to the speed of the NFL.
