Overview

Antoine did not play football until his senior year of high school and really struggles to read keys and diagnose plays. He will turn 25 in June and lacks growth potential physically, but might be able to develop his instincts. Antoine is not fast enough to be a center fielder and very stiff hips will prevent him from sticking with backs and receivers in man coverage. He plays with a mean streak and throws his body around, forcing receivers to keep their head on swivel when going across the middle. He blew out his knee in 2008, and given that he plays with a reckless abandon, durability might be a concern. Antoine has extremely limited football intelligence, but his ultra-aggressive mentality makes him well suited for special teams at the next level giving him a chance to make a roster.

Analysis

Strengths

Antoine has adequate height and a thick, muscular build. Fearless player who throws his body around to deliver a big shot in run support. Has excellent upper-body strength and can stand up lead blockers, shed and flow to the ball.

Weaknesses

Lacks football intelligence and struggles to consistently diagnose plays. Overaggressive in coverage and will bite on play-action and screens. Does not recognize route progressions and looks to land a kill shot rather than go after a ball in the air. Stiff hips prevent him from maintaining speed in transition, and he is a liability in man coverage.
