Overview

Miller is a good-sized running back with adequate running skills. He will show a good burst through the hole but will get ahead of his blockers at times, as well. He tends to run a bit erect and will take some shots that a more compact runner can deflect with shoulder pads. He is not very interested in blocking when asked to stay in and pick up the blitz and is not as punishing a runner as he could be. Needs work on finishing his runs. He has enough wiggle to go with good speed and a good burst through the hole to warrant consideration as a late draft pick.

Analysis

Strengths

Thickly built running back who explodes through holes. Possesses good top-end speed to break big runs when he finds a seam. Has fluid hips and the agility to slide down the line and make people miss in space. Worked in a two-back system and has fewer miles on his tires.

Weaknesses

Lacks the vision to consistently find running lanes. Does not have good patience and runs past his blockers at times. Stands up too tall and struggles to get yards after contact. Does not always finish runs to wear down a defense. Not a willing or effective blocker, despite his size.
