Overview

Brown's an intriguing physical talent with elite size and the potential to be a deep/red zone terror but comes with some major flags and an injury history. Doesn't possess the suddenness or route-running skills to beat tight man coverage and needs to make better use of his huge catch radius and big hands. Maturity and work-ethic on and off the field are in question. Was arrested in 2010 on a disorderly conduct charge, has been caught playing at less than 100 percent during games, and doesn't physically dominant jump ball situations or over the middle. Brown's a high-risk, potential high-reward, developmental Day 3 prospect.

Analysis

Strengths

Brown possesses rare height and bulk for a receiver coupled with enough speed to get deep. Can haul in the over-the-shoulder catch in stride and adjust to the poorly thrown ball. Flashes the ability to box-out defenders for the jump ball. Can be a load in the open field after the catch.

Weaknesses

Lacks the initial burst to consistently separate underneath. Overall route-running must continue to develop and improve. Needs to make better use of his huge frame and hands and attack the football more regularly. Susceptible to being jammed at the line despite his size. Has major injury and character flags that must be investigated.
