Overview

Lynn has faced some explosive receivers in the Big 10 and has held his own. He is a huge athlete for the position and some teams could view him as a versatile option to move to the safety position based on team need. He has the athletic ability to compete at either position, but could struggle playing man from the corner spot against some of the more talented receivers at the next level. Overall, Lynn has the size, experience, and athletic ability to be taken in the fifth round and should contribute early on special teams and contend at both the corner and safety positions.

Analysis

Strengths

Lynn has good awareness when playing in zone schemes. He is effective in his backpedal and is quick to get downhill once he makes a decision to plant and drive. Lynn has good hands to make plays on the ball, and although he is not a great athlete he really knows how to employ strong technique to stay effective in his DB motions.

Weaknesses

Lynn is not a great tackler or very physical player in general, which is a major weakness given his size. This will hurt the willingness of teams to try him out at the safety position. Lynn relies on awareness and technique to cover receivers, and he could be exploited at the next level against the more athletic receivers.
