Overview

McGaha is an excellent collegiate possession receiver that runs precise routes and knows how to set up defenders as well as sink his hips to explode out of his cuts with a good burst. He does a good job of separating from defenders but lacks the extra gear to maintain that separation. His top end speed is marginal and he lacks the extra gear to run under the deep balls. He does know how to vary his speed which allows him to lull defenders to sleep and slip by them on go routes. He has excellent ball skills and consistently reaches out to pluck the ball away from his body. He has a chance as a third receiver that works out of the slot.

Analysis

Strengths

McGaha’s a productive college receiver with a nice combination of size, agility and body control. He has very good receiving skills. Exhibits natural hands and catches the ball away from his body. Is highly-competitive and willing to roam the middle of the field. Is a crafty route runner who finds creative ways to get open.

Weaknesses

McGaha lacks adequate top end speed for the next level. Does not possess the acceleration and burst to gain and maintain separation as a route runner at the next level. Won’t scare many DB’s with his run after the catch ability.
