Overview

Chancellor was a productive, three-year starter for the Clemson defense. He is an undersized cornerback with good quickness, instincts and ball skills. He is solid in his peddle but doesn't show explosiveness to plant and close to the ball. He reacts well to route progressions and maintains leverage with proper body positioning. He is a solid open-field tackler and has deceptive power in this phase of the game. He lacks great speed to play out on an island at the next level and isn't an explosive returner for his size. Chancellor is a good college football player with size and speed limitations who doesn't project well to the NFL.

Analysis

Strengths

Chancellor is an athletic corner who possesses nice quickness, balance and agility. He was a productive performer in college. Exhibits good instincts in coverage. Is a competitive guy. Has the ball skills you like to see. Is willing and solid in run support despite his size.

Weaknesses

Lacks adequate size for the corner position. He only possesses average speed and may struggle turning and running with deep threats downfield at the next level. Needs to improve his footwork and transitional quickness when mirroring in man coverage.
