Chris Brown
RB Oklahoma
- 5'10" Height
- 29" Arm Length
- 210LBS. Weight
- 9 1/8" Hands
Overview
Brown is a guy you have to like when you break down his running skills, but his lack of size/power and long speed limit his potential at the next level. He does just about everything above average but nothing great. He has excellent vision and knows how to set up his blockers and is patient to wait for the hole to open up. Brown will likely make some team and can contribute as a backup but is not the type you’d want to get 20-25 touches a game.
Analysis
Strengths
Brown has been productive for a top program in college. Shows the versatility to be used in a variety of ways. Displays the natural vision needed to pick and slide and find running lanes. Shows good instincts and quickly gets upfield. Brown runs behind his pads and will compete for extra yardage.
Weaknesses
He lacks the size, bulk and running power to carry the load at the next level or push the pile. Also does not possess the speed and burst to pick up large chunks of yardage. Lateral cutting range is only adequate and can struggle finding and reaching his cut-back lanes at times.
