Gantt has enough size and speed along with some redeeming qualities to become a No. 2 / backup tight end. Does a good job releasing off the line but doesn't run the sharpest routes or have the speed to consistently threaten a defense up the seam. Will show strong, confident hands extending away from his frame for the catch but also drops routine passes on occasion. Is a quality run and pass blocker but not dominant in either facet. Tough and durable, Gantt could hear his name called in the middle rounds.

Shows the ability to sit down in soft spots in zone coverage. Flashes the ability to pluck and snatch on the run. Can go get the lofted lead pass out in front of his route. Does a good job run blocking due to good positioning. Can hold up in pass protection.

Only possesses average size and speed. Not a big play threat. Doesn't have great top-end speed to challenge up the seam. Not explosiveness enough to make defenders miss after the catch. Will drop catchable passes at times. Doesn't blow defenders off the ball while run blocking.
