Overview

Lee has been a highly productive linebacker as a three-year starter for the Trojans. He has decent size, and is quicker than fast. He is effective defending the run as well as in coverage at the collegiate level. Lee leverages the ball well and is instinctive reacting quickly as plays unfold. He has a knack of hitting a crease and closing to the ball when attacking the run but needs to improve his pass rush package when in a blitz mode. Lee is a solid tackler in the open field and shows decent pop and power on contact. Lee is a good football player that has some limitations at the next level but should contribute as a backup linebacker as well as on special teams.

Analysis

Strengths

Lee has adequate size and good athleticism but could afford to add some bulk. Is a strong and tough ‘backer who isn’t afraid to stick his head into traffic. Highly competitive performer and extremely productive. An all-conference player, who plays with great instincts. Flashes the ability to use his hands well. Durable throughout his career.

Weaknesses

Lacks outstanding range in run pursuit and in zone coverage. Despite his toughness and effort, Lee can be engulfed at times vs. larger linemen. Has some experience as a blitzer and pass rusher but could afford to become more refined in this area.
