Overview

Overview

Transferred to Eastern Kentucky from Toledo after 2004, but didn't really get on the NFL radar until last season. Teammate Derrick Huff got the accolades because of his nine interceptions in 2007, but Molden was the one teams stayed away from (he still had two picks and nine pass breakups). Teams love his legit 6-1, 195-frame to match up against larger receivers downfield.

High School

Earned three varsity letters in both football and track and field ... Was a part of three track relay teams that set three national records during his senior year.

Analysis

Analysis

Positives: Excellent size and good speed. ... Track athlete. ... Has the build and attitude to play a physical press coverage. ... Closes on the ball or receiver well when playing zone. ... Does not back down from a challenge. ... Turns and runs with receivers as well as any player in this draft, making it tough to separate from him. ... Could be tried as a free safety (he played there a bit at Toledo) because of his size and willingness to hit.

Negatives: Needs to work on making the interception, as he'll stick up his hand instead of using his vertical and height to get the ball. ... Could have trouble with sudden, quick receivers as he does not change directions as quickly as you'd like. ... Needs to work on his jam technique, as NFL receivers will be more difficult to handle than the FCS players he has faced.
