Led the Mountain West Conference with 31 rushing touchdowns the last two seasons. Is one of four running backs in San Diego State history with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. 2013: Honorable mention All-MWC pick after finishing season wiht 1,244 rushing yards. 2012: Second-team All-MWC pick after finishing season with 1,458 rushing yards. Highest per-carry average to lead the team in rushing yards since 1992, when Marshall Faulk averaged an identical 6.15 yards per rush. 2011: Played in six games. 2010: Redshirted. Misc.: Suffered an accident in 2010, in which he was hit in the face with a baseball bat while defending a friend's parent at a party. Suffered an orbital bone fracture and required 36 stitches.

Has a strong, compact build. Good vision, quickness, agility and short-area burst -- makes subtle moves and can sort his way through tight spaces, find small creases and make the first tackler miss. Sets up runs and has good lower-body power to kick through arm tackles. Runs hard with a low center of gravity and does not go down easy. Good receiving skills and open-field running vision to create after the catch. Outstanding production.

Average size. Lacks bellcow power and run strength ideally suited to carry a full workload. Likes to bounce a lot and press the edges. Will need more technique work in pass protection. Did not regularly face top competition and will be more challenged by the speed of the NFL game.

Rounds 5-6

Bottom Line

A herky-jerky, off-tackle/perimeter runner most ideally suited for a zone ground game such as the Eagles, Seahawks or Packers, Muema could earn a complementary role as a change-of-pace back. Could be a surprise, late-round find.
