Pettrey has good size and athleticism for the position. He had another solid season but has never been outstanding throughout his career. Pettrey has a live leg and handles both field goals and kickoffs with relative consistency while showing range from 50-plus yards. He will make a solid attempt at an open field tackle as needed and is a competitive player. He has split the placekicking duties throughout his time with the Buckeyes which has hindered his overall production. Likely a late-round draft choice depending on his showing at the combine.

Pettrey possesses good size for the position. Displays above average leg strength on both kickoffs and field goals. Maintains solid mechanics. Get-off times (no blocked kicks over career) are very impressive. Has the work ethic necessary to further polish up.

Pettrey has shown the tendency to miss in close at times. Doesn?t have as much experience as other placekickers in this class after splitting time in college.
